What you will do
- Review and validate façade concepts for performance, constructability, cost efficiency, and compliance.
- Lead detailed engineering of unitized and stick curtain walls, structural glazing, skylights, atriums, cladding, louvers, and shading devices.
- Review shop drawings, structural calculations, thermal analyses, method statements, and material submittals.
- Lead façade mock-up strategies and supervise air, water, structural, seismic, and thermal performance testing.
- Oversee installation, inspections, factory visits, quality assurance, and coordination with contractors and façade subcontractors.
- Review cleaning and maintenance strategies, including BMUs, davits, monorail systems, safe access, and glass replacement procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in façade engineering with exposure to multiple projects.
- Experience reviewing shop drawings, structural calculations, thermal analysis, method statements, and material submittals.
- Experience with façade mock-ups, laboratory testing, and site performance testing.
- Experience supervising façade execution and installation quality, including alignment, tolerances, anchoring, fixing, and glazing procedures.
- Experience coordinating with main contractors and façade subcontractors.
