Manufacturing and Process Development - Intern, Bachelor’s (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Hillsboro, Oregon; additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona, and Albuquerque, New Mexico. Not available in Colorado.

Salary: $76,398–$76,402 annual target compensation for a U.S. hourly internship role; the specific rate depends on degree, location, and role.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Analyze data to improve yield, quality, reliability, and factory performance.
• Work with advanced semiconductor equipment and fabrication technologies.
• Apply statistics, data analytics, modeling, and failure analysis to solve engineering challenges.
• Support process control, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to safe, sustainable, and high-performing manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, materials science, microelectronics engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, physics, computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related STEM field.
• At least 3 months of experience through coursework, projects, research, internships, laboratory work, student organizations, or industry experience.
• Availability to start in Spring or Summer 2027; year-long internship and co-op candidates may also be considered.
• Analytical problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and ability to share technical findings.
• This position is not eligible for employment-based visa or immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, SQL, JMP, R, or similar programming, data analysis, modeling, simulation, automation, or visualization tools.
• Coursework, research, projects, or internship experience in semiconductor technology, advanced manufacturing, process development, materials science, engineering, or data analytics.
