Credit Associate - Private Banking Commercial Real Estate

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, Irvine, California, or New York, New York

Salary: $34.55–$55.19 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Support the Private Banking Commercial Real Estate portfolio in partnership with Portfolio Managers and the Credit Lead.
• Analyze the creditworthiness of borrowers, guarantors, and sponsors.
• Support underwriting, portfolio reviews, performance monitoring, and covenant tracking.
• Analyze credit data, market and industry reports, and trendcards, and prepare credit presentations.
• Support credit risk management, regulatory compliance, and credit-quality standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues on credit operations and ad hoc organizational projects, progressing toward ownership of a credit portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of progressively increasing experience in credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Intermediate experience in credit management and lending operations, including risk management principles.
• Foundational understanding of personal financial statements, real estate schedules, and tax returns.
• Intermediate analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

• Experience with high-net-worth, private banking, or wealth management clients.
• Industry-specific commercial real estate knowledge.
