Site Manager (h/f) (Synchronous Condenser)

Location: Belgium, with construction sites predominantly in Belgium and coordination with engineering teams in Bruges. Hybrid working model.

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for large-scale synchronous condenser projects.
• Plan and manage personnel, equipment, site resources, and subcontractors.
• Act as the primary on-site contact for engineering teams and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality requirements, technical specifications, costs, and schedules.
• Oversee site inspections, construction progress, commissioning activities, and technical or logistical issue resolution.
• Contribute to lessons learned and develop internal expertise in synchronous condenser technology.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Significant experience in construction management or site engineering on complex industrial projects, preferably in energy, high-voltage substations, or power generation.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage equipment and critical electrical environments.
• Strong skills in subcontractor coordination, site management, and construction execution oversight.
• Ability to work independently in an international and multicultural environment.
• Fluent English required for collaboration with German teams and international partners.
