Instrument/Analyzer Maintenance Supervisor (Refinery)

Location: Carson, California, United States. Onsite refinery role with Monday–Thursday core hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST, periodic call-out supervisor duty, after-hours phone support, and turnaround support approximately once a year.

Salary: $122,900–$184,300 annually.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, train, and coach instrument technicians while managing work groups and craft progression.
• Investigate and resolve instrument and analyzer reliability issues and provide technical support to field technicians.
• Manage preventive maintenance plans, completion tracking, procedures, work-order backlog, and mechanical integrity activities.
• Coordinate emergency work, major maintenance, turnaround instrumentation scope, and repairs performed by onsite and offsite service providers.
• Manage calibration and certification of test equipment and electrical PPE, and participate in shop and safety audits.
• Support scheduling, engineering package reviews, job walks, materials planning, and maintenance schedule progression.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED with at least 8 years of instrumentation maintenance experience in refinery or petrochemical operations; or an associate degree with 6 years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with 6 years of instrumentation or electrical engineering experience.
• Experience must include refinery or petrochemical industry work.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to wear refinery PPE, including a respirator, perform field duties, and complete a hair drug test and physical examination.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without future visa sponsorship.
• Travel requirement is 5% or less, with availability for the stated schedule, call-outs, and turnaround support.

• Petrochemical analyzer experience.
