Plant Mechanic 1-5 (Iraan, TX)

Location: Onsite in Iraan, Texas, United States; travel may be required depending on location and workload.

What you will do

• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Support compressor overhauls, startups during operational upsets, and maintenance of pumps, cooling fans, and other field equipment.
• Perform daily lubrication and fluid checks, manually operate valves, and complete lockout/tagout and maintenance permitting duties.
• Identify and correct safety and environmental concerns while documenting maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors, compressor operators, contractors, and mechanic helpers; provide operational communication and training support.
• Operate company vehicles during daily field activities and respond to emergency calls when on call.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in compressor maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair; job level is commensurate with experience and skill set.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, computer, safety, and environmental skills.
• Clean and valid driver's license meeting company insurability requirements.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, confined spaces, elevated or excavated areas, low-lit areas, and physically demanding conditions, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work onsite in Iraan, Texas and respond during working or non-working hours when required.

Nice to have

• Experience maintaining Clark TLAB-6, Ariel, Dresser-Rand HHE-VL-3, or Ariel JGZ/6 compressors.
• Experience with Caterpillar 3608 engines.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with vibration analysis and engine analysis.
