Buyer Planner (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Salary: $29.00–$36.00 per hour

hirify.global is a Virginia-based contract manufacturing organization specializing in small-batch sterile injectable manufacturing, packaging, labeling, laboratory services, and pharmaceutical support.

What you will do

• Obtain supplier quotes and procure materials for manufacturing and project requirements.
• Manage supplier relationships, open purchase orders, delivery dates, and critical material orders.
• Monitor raw material, in-transit, and consignment inventory levels.
• Maintain MRP planning data, material allocations, pick lists, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and review supply chain and quality documentation, including SOPs, specifications, supplier non-conformances, and quarterly DEA reporting.
• Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous inventory management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and issue-resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and effective cross-functional coordination.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or another ERP system.
• Purchasing or procurement experience.
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment.
• Production planning experience or a degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
• Supplier negotiation and material availability issue-resolution experience.
