Power Lineman/I&E Technician CO2 (Electrical Distribution)

Location: Onsite in Snyder, Texas; candidates are preferably within 30 minutes of SACROC.

What you will do

• Install transformers, cutouts, lightning arresters, crossarms, insulators, switches, and conductors in overhead and underground systems.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot power-distribution equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Implement assigned system improvements and modifications.
• Report unusual field conditions and assist with outage-work coordination.
• Respond to call-outs as needed, including 24/7 availability, nights, weekends, and extended outage periods.
• Apply EH&S systems while performing physically demanding outdoor work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Texas Class A commercial driver's license with air-brake endorsements.
• Valid home telephone number and availability for call-outs.
• Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and measuring equipment.
• Basic computer skills, good verbal communication, strong work ethic, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform heavy manual work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force repeatedly and working in unfavorable weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Hot-line work experience.
• Knowledge of SEL-651R and Cooper recloser controllers.
• Knowledge of capacitor-bank controllers, first aid, safety practices, and occupational hazards.
• Experience using trade-related tools, equipment, and vehicles.
