Graduate Vulnerability Structural Analysis Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Bristol Area, United Kingdom. Candidates must already have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for the required security clearance. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Perform numerical vulnerability, crash, and impact analyses using finite element analysis for aircraft programmes and Research & Technology projects.
• Analyse scenarios such as bird strikes and wheel or tyre debris impacts on aircraft structures.
• Use simulation tools including Abaqus/Explicit, 3DX, and HyperWorks.
• Learn to model aircraft structural behaviour, interpret simulation results, and develop engineering judgement.
• Build knowledge of aircraft structures, certification compliance, and in-service support.
• Complete at least one rotational placement in related areas such as Research, Design, Materials, Structures Test, Aerodynamics, or Manufacturing.

Requirements

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Recent graduation or initial professional experience in structures analysis.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required.
• Collaborative approach and interest in future aerospace innovation.
• Self-awareness and motivation to take ownership of professional development.
• Existing UK right to work and eligibility for the required security clearance.
