Senior Recruiter (Defense Technology)

Location: Hybrid in San Diego, United States

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer acceptance across technical and non-technical functions.
• Partner with hiring managers and leadership to define requirements, hiring profiles, job descriptions, and recruiting strategies.
• Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, GitHub, referrals, networking, industry communities, and creative sourcing methods.
• Manage candidate communication, screening, interviews, feedback, pipeline progression, and offer closing.
• Maintain accurate recruiting data and reporting in Ashby while improving processes and removing bottlenecks.
• Support employer branding and talent community initiatives across defense technology, robotics, autonomy, aerospace, and adjacent industries.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• 5+ years of recruiting experience in-house, agency, or high-growth environments.
• Experience recruiting across both technical and business-focused disciplines.
• Strong direct sourcing, candidate assessment, relationship management, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple searches, adapt to changing priorities, and operate effectively with limited structure.
• Experience with modern applicant tracking systems; Ashby experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Recruiting experience in defense technology, aerospace, robotics, autonomy, software, hardware, or another technically complex industry.
• Eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
