Licensed Benefits Enrollment Specialist (Health Insurance)

Location: Remote - United States

Compensation: $275 per day as a contractor, based on days worked.

What you will do

• Conduct one-on-one benefit consultations by phone or video.
• Explain medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit options in plain language.
• Help employees compare plans based on their individual and family needs.
• Complete enrollment applications, verify eligibility and deductions, and process direct-pay enrollments when applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on missing information.
• Work with Client Success, Coverage, Operations, and insurance carriers to resolve or escalate enrollment issues.

Requirements

• Active resident-state Health and Life Insurance License in good standing.
• Ability and willingness to obtain additional non-resident licenses as needed.
• Experience in employee benefits, health insurance, benefits enrollment, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Knowledge of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefit products.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Personal computer and a dependable internet connection; ability to handle personal and benefit information confidentially.

Nice to have

• Experience with remote enrollments.
• Experience with ACA-compliant health plans, ancillary products, or direct-pay enrollments.
• Experience supporting high-volume enrollment or renewal periods.
• Active licenses in multiple states or familiarity with NIPR and non-resident licensing.
• Bilingual communication skills.
