Per Diem Benefit Counselor - Remote

Location: Remote or on-site at a call center; remote work requires a quiet home-based workspace and reliable internet

Base pay: $25–34 per hour

What you will do

• Educate employees about employer-sponsored life, health, and voluntary benefit programs through face-to-face, phone, and web-based consultations.
• Use fact-finding and rapport-building techniques to identify employee needs and explain suitable benefit options.
• Support employees with electronic enrollment and ensure applications are accurate and compliant with data privacy and security policies.
• Document consultations and enrollment activities accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with Enrollment Managers, Call Center Managers, and Account Executives to meet client standards.
• Work assigned schedules, including possible weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts, and attend required meetings and training.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of life, health, and voluntary insurance products.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage schedules, maintain accurate documentation, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Active state license in Life and Health Insurance required.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.
• Proficiency with Windows and Google-based computer programs.

Nice to have

• At least two years of experience in benefits counseling or a related field.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
