TL;DR
Senior Android Engineer (AI) (Kotlin/Jetpack Compose): Building native Android features for the Membership domain of a podcast and audiobook platform, covering authentication, paywalls, subscriptions, billing, and payments with an accent on AI-assisted development, product collaboration, and release quality. Focus on reviewing AI-generated code, designing reliable app architecture, writing unit tests, and solving complex concurrency, performance, memory, or production-debugging challenges.
Location: Hybrid setup in Vilnius or Berlin
Salary: €5,000–€7,000 gross per month for the Lithuanian market

What you will do
- Build and improve native Android features in the Membership domain, including authentication, paywalls, offers, subscriptions, plans, billing, and payments.
- Work with Google Play Billing and adjacent sharing and notification features.
- Use AI coding agents such as Claude Code and Codex to automate repetitive development, testing, and workflow tasks.
- Review and verify AI-generated code, identify subtle defects, and determine what is safe to ship.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, and UX researchers on product and design decisions.
- Write unit tests, use feature toggles and A/B tests, and contribute to Android tooling and agentic development workflows.
Requirements
- Solid Android development experience with Kotlin and a strong understanding of Activities, Fragments, Services, and the Android lifecycle.
- Experience building user interfaces with Jetpack Compose, or strong evidence of being able to learn it quickly.
- Experience shipping real Android features, including substantial side projects where applicable.
- Hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor to build, test, or automate software.
- Understanding of unit testing, feature toggles, and A/B testing, plus strong Android and computer science fundamentals.
- Strong English required for code, comments, and communication. Systems depth in concurrency, performance, memory, app architecture, or production debugging is expected.
Nice to have
- GraphQL or Media3 experience.
- Experience building agentic workflows, custom MCP servers, or AI-driven tooling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with subscription or payment flows.
- Personal interest in podcasts and audiobook apps.
