What you will do
- Own the core development and optimization of the Ads Android SDK used inside hundreds of publisher applications.
- Build and maintain native ad experiences that operate across multiple formats and support high-volume real-time auctions.
- Design APIs and behavioral signal capture in collaboration with backend teams, maintaining backward compatibility for external integrators.
- Optimize battery usage, memory consumption, application footprint, and runtime performance on resource-constrained devices.
- Monitor and debug SDK reliability using observability and data tools, turning operational data into engineering decisions.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing, building, packaging, and delivering mobile libraries.
Requirements
- 8+ years of Android development experience, or 3+ years specifically in SDK or library development.
- Strong Kotlin experience and deep knowledge of Android lifecycles, ProGuard/R8, and multithreading.
- Experience designing high-performance APIs and maintaining strict backward compatibility.
- Experience with networking technologies such as gRPC, Protobuf, Wire, and OkHTTP.
- Hands-on experience with Sentry, Kibana, AWS S3, QuickSight, and Athena for observability and data analysis.
- Experience with Gradle and GitLab CI for mobile build automation and delivery.
Nice to have
- Experience in ad-tech or programmatic advertising, including alignment with IAB specifications.
- Experience with NDK/JNI and C/C++ interoperability on Android.
- Parallel iOS development experience with Swift.
