Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT

Location: Onsite in West Palm Beach, Florida, United States

Hourly wage: $19.00–$35.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Operate the exterior services department and coordinate work across assigned facilities.
• Perform landscaping, seasonal exterior maintenance, snow and ice management, and facility improvement projects.
• Operate, inspect, and maintain heavy machinery, powered equipment, vehicles, and tools.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets, approve purchases, submit warranty claims, and process maintenance invoices.
• Lead third-party providers, provide coaching, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee quality assurance inspections.
• Communicate with facility users, resolve service issues, and maintain safe, clean, and compliant work areas.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification before hire.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Two years of experience in the landscaping or gardening industry.
• Ability to comply with OSHA, EPA, vehicle, equipment, and workplace safety requirements.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in engineering, maintenance, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience managing third-party providers.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
• Proficiency in speaking and understanding Spanish.
• Required state or local licenses, where applicable.
