AGGP2027 – Graduate AOCS/GNC & Flight Dynamics Engineer

Location: Stevenage, United Kingdom. Applicants must already have, or be eligible to obtain, the right to work in the UK. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available. Security clearance or eligibility for clearance is required.

What you will do

• Design and analyze space mission AOCS/GNC and flight dynamics systems for small studies and large projects.
• Support ESA missions including ExoMars Rover, ARIEL, AEOLUS-2, and VIGIL.
• Perform engineering activities across the lifecycle, from concept design through validation support.
• Produce design justifications, software requirements, and performance analysis documentation.
• Develop non-real-time simulator prototypes using C, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Complete at least one rotational placement during the two-year graduate development programme.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in control, automation, space, aeronautical engineering, or a related field.
• Recent graduation or initial professional experience in AOCS, GNC, or flight dynamics.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and excellent documentation abilities.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink, plus C or similar programming experience.
• Participation in a space-related project during its development and validation cycle.
• Existing UK right to work or eligibility through another route is required; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Mathematical modelling, computer simulations, and control engineering experience.
• Space industry experience or strong interest in the aerospace sector.
• Participation in an applied AI project.
• Agile experience and familiarity with Jira or Confluence.
• Basic Linux and CMake knowledge.
