What you will do

• Support outpatient pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Fill medication orders, develop proficiency with advanced prescriptions, and ensure timely delivery or completion.
• Use electronic health record, inventory management, and other pharmacy technology systems; troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory through stocking, rotation, sorting, and expiration-date checks.
• Perform and document quality-control procedures, including barcode scanning, and clean sterile and non-sterile pharmacy areas.
• Respond to patient questions, triage provider calls, manage claims-related adjudication issues, and escalate problems appropriately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) must be obtained within two years of hire, or a Massachusetts Pharmacy Intern License is required.
• Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations and use pharmacy technology systems.
• Ability to develop proficiency in non-sterile compounding, troubleshoot independently, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and critical-thinking skills.
