Pharmacy Technician - Fulfillment - Part Time (Healthcare)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; onsite work at 145 S 79th St, Suite 70 is required. Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance unless an accommodation is granted.

What you will do

• Prepare, count, weigh, measure, pour, fill, and label prescription medications, including controlled substances.
• Enter and verify prescription data using the pharmacy adjudication platform.
• Assist the Pharmacist with reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling, and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Communicate with prescribers, customers, pharmacy staff, and other parties to complete prescriptions.
• Maintain prescription records, physician orders, inventory, and out-of-date product controls.
• Keep the pharmacy clean and safe while following applicable procedures and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus at least one year of experience as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Registered Pharmacy Technician status is required.
• Knowledge of state, local, and federal pharmacy requirements for prescription preparation and dispensing.
• Ability to answer medication-related questions or refer requests to the appropriate staff.

Nice to have

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board certificate.
• Experience with a pharmacy adjudication platform or dispensing pharmacy.
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology.
• Bilingual communication skills.
