Salary: $188,000–$282,000 per year, plus bonus, benefits, and equity for regular employees.

What you will do

  • Own critical manufacturing processes across multiple aircraft programs and lead initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs, and scale operations.
  • Build manufacturing infrastructure for a new production line supporting a next-generation jet, including capital equipment, hardware, software tools, and production systems.
  • Define Bills of Process, manufacturing sequences, MBOM mappings, tooling requirements, and process controls.
  • Design ergonomic workstations and create operator-ready work instructions with torque specifications, PPE, inspection points, and MES revision control.
  • Conduct time studies, calculate takt time and cycle time, identify bottlenecks, and lead kaizen and standardized-work improvements.
  • Partner with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality teams on process integration, error-proofing, FAI readiness, ECOs, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production systems, process development, or assembly engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Mechatronics, or a related STEM field.
  • Experience with prototype manufacturing in a startup or rapid-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining, composites, avionics, and/or assembly processes.
  • Experience with MES/QMS systems, SPC, capability analysis, DOE, lean/5S, PFMEA, Control Plans, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • CAD proficiency and experience with manufacturing equipment or tooling design.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing or automation systems.
  • Project management experience across multiple priorities and deadlines.
