Senior Manager, HR Project Management

Location: Deerfield, Illinois, United States

Salary: $144,000–$198,000 annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead prioritization and governance of the HR strategic portfolio in partnership with HR leadership.
• Manage the HR Operating Model and other strategic HR programs from planning through delivery and value realization.
• Develop project plans, milestones, success measures, and portfolio reporting.
• Lead cross-functional teams, coordinate stakeholders, and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Provide executive visibility into risks, dependencies, resource decisions, milestones, and business impact.
• Improve project management practices, tools, processes, governance frameworks, and execution outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, organizational effectiveness, project management, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience leading complex programs, projects, or strategic initiatives in HR, business operations, consulting, or transformation environments.
• Experience leading teams, PMO functions, or project management professionals.
• Demonstrated experience with project portfolios, governance processes, prioritization frameworks, risk and dependency management, and issue resolution.
• Experience supporting senior executives and leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong executive communication, analytical, problem-solving, change management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with HR transformation, operating model implementation, or organizational effectiveness programs.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean, or equivalent certification.
