Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management Risk Manager (Operational Resilience)

Location: In office at a designated City National location in the United States, including Charlotte, New York, Los Angeles, Irvine, or Long Beach

Salary: $111,408–$189,738 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Provide second-line-of-defense oversight and credible challenge for disaster recovery and crisis management strategies, plans, controls, and testing.
• Assess disaster recovery capabilities against enterprise risk appetite, impact tolerances, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor compliance with disaster recovery policies, standards, and frameworks, recommending governance and accountability enhancements.
• Provide independent oversight of crisis management, major incident response, escalation protocols, communications, and decision-making structures.
• Review the design, execution, and outcomes of disaster recovery and crisis management exercises and testing processes.
• Support internal audits and regulatory examinations while providing technical guidance for crisis and emergency management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and critical incident management.
• At least 10 years of technical experience with data center operations and infrastructure recovery, including cloud platforms, network architecture, failover mechanisms, database replication, and backup strategies.
• At least 5 years of experience in risk and controls, including assessments, credible challenge, and assurance testing.
• At least 5 years of financial services experience and at least 3 years of project management experience.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, prioritization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using business continuity or GRC systems.

Nice to have

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Business continuity or disaster recovery certification such as ABCP, CBCP, MBCP, MBCI, or CRP.
