TL;DR
Business Development Representative — Professional Services (Nuclear Energy): Building and qualifying a multi-vertical pursuit pipeline across licensing and regulatory, engineering, program management, training, and security services with an accent on market research, client relationships, and CRM discipline. Focus on scoring and advancing complex government and commercial pursuits, coordinating cross-functional handoffs, and developing opportunities across the nuclear energy sector.

Location: Regular hybrid office presence in Washington, D.C., or Columbia, South Carolina, with regular travel to project and customer sites. Candidates must be commutable to or willing to relocate to one of these locations.

Salary: $118,000–$140,000 annually, paid bi-weekly.

hirify.global is an AI-enabled startup developing a fleet-scale approach to deploying nuclear reactors and providing professional services across the nuclear asset lifecycle.

What you will do

  • Identify and qualify opportunities across licensing and regulatory, engineering, program management, training, and security services.
  • Research markets and accounts to identify whitespace and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including Pwin scores, pursuit stages, and revenue-line tagging.
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates and flag stalled or at-risk pursuits.
  • Build relationships with utilities, DOE sites, reactor vendors, new-build and IPP developers, and federal agencies.
  • Represent the business at industry conferences and coordinate opportunity handoffs with technical and capture teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategy, or commercial roles in nuclear energy, energy infrastructure, or defense.
  • Understanding of reactor technologies and the regulatory landscape.
  • Experience identifying, capturing, and closing complex government or commercial deals, including turnkey, EPC, or termination and settlement agreements.
  • Established relationships across the nuclear industry, utilities, reactor vendors, or federal agencies.
  • Strong financial acumen, contract knowledge, CRM discipline, executive communication skills, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 50–75% as needed.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting pursuits across multiple service lines in a matrixed business development environment.
  • Working knowledge of Pwin-based or similar structured pursuit-scoring methodologies.
