Patient Access Associate Specialist - PRN

Location: Onsite at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio; limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work within the United States

Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience

What you will do

• Perform patient admission and pre-registration activities for hospital services.
• Assign accurate medical record numbers, collect demographic and insurance information, and process physician orders.
• Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefits data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
• Explain and obtain signatures for consent, Medicare, Tricare, observation, and other required patient forms.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute and document applicable notices.
• Conduct account audits, maintain accurate records, provide reporting data, and operate the telephone switchboard.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Inquisitiveness and openness to innovation, including AI, are required.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
