Product Chemistry Associate Scientist

Location: Columbia, Missouri, USA; candidates should live within a commutable distance. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; overtime and occasional weekend shifts may be required.

Salary: USD 46,000–49,000 per year.

What you will do

• Apply analytical methods to product chemistry studies, including physical properties, batch analysis, method development and validation, water solubility, vapor pressure, and storage stability.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and software, while learning routine and non-routine maintenance.
• Prepare stock and standard solutions and perform quantitative calculations, including linear regression using internal and external standards.
• Use LC-UV, LC-MS/MS, GC-FID, GC-MS, ICP-MS, and ion chromatography instrumentation.
• Develop and conduct studies under GLP guidelines, with potential responsibility as Study Director or Principal Analyst.
• Collect, review, and report data while monitoring study procedures for accuracy and report quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent directly related experience.
• At least two years of directly relevant experience or demonstrated comparable competency.
• At least two years of experience with one or more relevant analytical techniques.
• Laboratory experience, strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and follow procedures.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
