Biopharma and Population Products Director (Genomics)

Location: Remote, United States. Travel approximately 20–30%, including sponsor, health system, and conference attendance, with periodic time in Houston.

What you will do

• Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for biopharma and population genomics offerings.
• Develop sponsored testing, patient identification, clinical trial support, and population screening programs.
• Own end-to-end product definition, including clinical positioning, reportable gene content, pricing, delivery workflows, and turnaround commitments.
• Conduct market and customer discovery with biopharma sponsors, health systems, academic medical centers, state programs, and patient organizations.
• Partner with Business Development, Medical Affairs, Laboratory Operations, Genomic Technology, Legal, and Compliance to launch technically and contractually deliverable offerings.
• Transition mature offerings into catalog tests ordered by treating clinicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• At least 12 years of product or program management experience, including 5 years developing genomic or diagnostic offerings for biopharmaceutical or population health buyers.
• Experience taking programs from definition through launch and revenue generation.
• Experience contracting or partnering with pharmaceutical sponsors, health systems, or public health programs.
• Working knowledge of clinical genomic testing, reporting practices, and the applicable regulatory environment.
• Experience developing and commercializing data, software, or informatics products while overseeing multiple functions or one large function.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in genetics, genomics, public health, or a related discipline.
• Board certification as a genetic counselor.
• Experience in rare disease, newborn screening, or population genomics programs.
• Familiarity with clinical trial operations, patient recruitment, or companion diagnostics.
• Experience with state or federal public health programs.
