PIE Staff Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead process development, improvement, and standardization projects across manufacturing workflows.
• Design and optimize processes to improve cycle time, yield, efficiency, and throughput.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods.
• Lead equipment selection, process validation, production scaling, and NPI process qualification.
• Create and maintain work instructions, PFMEA documents, control plans, and process reports; train engineers and production teams.

Requirements

• Degree or master’s qualification in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Robotic Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in process engineering or a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience with process troubleshooting, DOE, SPC, root cause analysis, PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, and quality systems.
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, or high-volume manufacturing systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Minitab, and statistical or data analysis tools, with strong communication, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Prior involvement in large-scale process improvement or automation projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering design documents, schematics, and drawings.
