Senior Systems Engineer Japan (m/f/d) ComInt and C-ESM

Location: Nürnberg, Germany; the role supports customer programs and a local engineering team in Japan.

What you will do

• Adapt and refine ComInt and C-ESM system operation concepts for customer requirements.
• Perform technical root cause analysis and prepare Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Provide second-level support for complex customer issues during warranty and maintenance phases.
• Organize product demonstrations with the Application Engineering team.
• Manage changes and system documentation throughout project execution.
• Coordinate with program and project management, sales, partners, customers, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related scientific discipline, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in systems engineering, hardware development, or software development.
• Ability to understand and interpret system design documents.
• Basic knowledge of communications engineering, signal processing, or RF technology.
• Business-level Japanese required for customer interaction and documentation.
• Working-level English required for internal and global communication.

Nice to have

• Long-term experience with signal-processing algorithms.
• Experience with configuration management.
• Defence-domain knowledge in ComInt and C-ESM.
