Principal Business Consultant, IBOR

Location: New York, United States; hybrid schedule with attendance at the SimCorp office twice per week and travel to client sites

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of tailored SimCorp Dimension solutions aligned with client requirements and strategic goals.
• Own all aspects of the IBOR stream across full-time implementation projects.
• Translate business challenges from senior stakeholders into actionable strategies and solution designs.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, recommend improvements, and drive consulting best practices.
• Develop project documentation, including workflows, integration plans, and technical specifications.
• Manage client relationships, coordinate escalations, and mentor junior consultants.

Requirements

• Experience as an analyst or implementation consultant for asset managers, asset owners, banks, or consulting firms.
• Strong knowledge of at least two areas including asset management, back office, financial reporting, asset-management consulting, or implementation of asset-management software.
• Asset-management candidates should have 3–5 years of hands-on investment operations and enterprise-application experience.
• Consultants should have multiple enterprise implementations involving buy-side IBOR functions and experience with applications similar to SimCorp Dimension.
• Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or applied sciences preferred, along with an understanding of financial products and accounting.
• Excellent written and spoken English required; ability to attend the New York office twice per week and travel to client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience with trade processing, including confirmation or settlement processes and solutions.
• Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension.
