What you will do

• Provide independent risk assessment, challenge, and approval for complex lending transactions.
• Monitor portfolio trends, emerging risks, concentration exposures, and market developments.
• Influence strategic risk discussions and support risk governance activities.
• Advise senior stakeholders, including the Head of Risk Management UK.
• Build partnerships across business, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and other specialist functions.
• Share credit risk expertise across UK, European, African, Asian, regional, and global teams.

Requirements

• Significant experience in a senior Credit Risk or Risk Management role within banking or financial services.
• Expertise in assessing and approving complex corporate, leveraged, and/or structured lending transactions.
• Strong portfolio risk management experience, including emerging risks and concentration exposures.
• Excellent analytical skills in financial analysis, credit assessment, and risk evaluation.
• Strong understanding of risk governance, regulatory frameworks, and wholesale banking products.
• Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders while collaborating across the three lines of defence and international teams.
