Associate Scientist – BTS (Process) (Biotech)

Location: Boxmeer, Netherlands; full-time, 5 days per week.

What you will do

• Develop and transfer vaccine formulations, including adjuvant formulations and stabilizers, for animal vaccines.
• Design and execute experiments covering vaccine composition and machine settings to improve production efficiency.
• Prepare adjuvant formulations and vaccines with inactivated viral and bacterial antigens at laboratory and pilot scale.
• Characterize formulations using light scattering techniques and differential scanning calorimetry.
• Investigate deviations, interpret results, document experiments, and prepare subject memos, reports, and protocols.
• Support GxP pilot and consistency batch production, introduce new methods, and transfer processes and quality control tests to Production and QC.

Requirements

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences, with knowledge of material properties.
• Knowledge of laboratory setup and operating requirements.
• Knowledge and experience with GxP guidelines and MPS methods.
• Basic understanding of cell biology, bacteriology, and/or virology is preferred.
• Excellent Dutch and/or English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Availability to work 5 days per week in Boxmeer, Netherlands.
