Senior Scientist – BTS (Process) (Biotechnology)

Location: Boxmeer, Netherlands; full-time, onsite position.

What you will do

• Perform hands-on laboratory work within the BTS Vaccine Formulation team.
• Lead one or more projects focused on new vaccine product development, formulation improvement, production problem-solving, and process transfer.
• Design and plan experiments, manage project timelines, resources, expectations, and risks, and maintain project documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders toward measurable objectives.
• Investigate deviations and root causes, assess project impact, interpret experimental results, and recommend improvements.
• Prepare protocols, reports, regulatory documents, and other technical assessments while ensuring GxP-compliant operations.

Requirements

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemical Process Technology, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in scaling up chemical production processes.
• Experience with laboratory operations and working under GxP guidelines.
• Familiarity with MPS methodologies, project management principles, and transfer methodologies.
• Ability to design experiments, interpret results, manage risks, and lead multidisciplinary collaboration.
