Adjunct Instructor - Counseling (Counseling)

Location: Stephenville, Texas; teaching may be delivered in person or through approved online instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver undergraduate and graduate counseling instruction.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and create exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Use active learning, discussion, collaboration, hands-on activities, technology, and innovative teaching methods.
• Provide office hours, academic support, guidance, and mentoring to students.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, and accreditation requirements; serve as a Campus Security Authority.

Requirements

• Earned master's degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited program at an accredited university.
• Minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of counseling subject matter sufficient for undergraduate and graduate-level instruction.
• Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty.
• Appointments are temporary, assigned per semester on an as-needed basis for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Counseling from a CACREP-accredited doctoral program.
• Relevant professional certifications or licenses, such as LPC.
• Previous collegiate online teaching experience.
