Adjunct Faculty - Paralegal (Online)

East Texas A&M University is seeking an adjunct faculty member for its Political Science department and online paralegal program.

What you will do

• Manage online paralegal courses and deliver live virtual lectures.
• Develop course syllabi that meet department and college standards.
• Plan lectures, class discussions, assignments, and examinations.
• Assess student participation and academic performance.
• Assist and mentor students as needed.
• Attend online paralegal program faculty meetings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate required.
• Three years of experience practicing law required.
• Previous experience working with paralegals or legal assistants required.
• Active license by a state bar required.
• Current knowledge of assigned subject matter and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn online platforms, conduct virtual meetings, multitask, and work cooperatively.

Nice to have

• Prior college, university, or legal-field teaching experience.
• Evidence of teaching excellence.
• Online or hybrid teaching experience.
