Decision Analytics Consultant (Tokyo, Osaka)

Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, or Osaka-shi, Japan. Hybrid working model combining work from home with on-site presence at clients or hirify.global offices. Client-facing work requires travel as needed.

What you will do

• Use quantitative skills to answer clients’ business analytics and reporting questions.
• Clarify client information needs and determine the most appropriate data for analysis.
• Plan and execute data analyses using advanced modeling techniques and analytical tools.
• Evaluate data and develop solutions for specific business information needs.
• Communicate analytical results with a focus on answering the business question rather than explaining processes.
• Build expertise in client analytics areas and work collaboratively with clients during regular business hours.

Requirements

• MBA with a bachelor's or graduate degree in a quantitative or analytical discipline, or a relevant PhD in marketing, economics, decision sciences, or a related field.
• Up to 3 years of relevant post-MBA experience and 3–5 years of relevant pre-MBA experience; alternatively, 5–8 years of relevant work experience may substitute for an MBA or PhD.
• Experience with strong analytical work and advanced modeling tools such as R, SAS, Tableau, or VBA.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, initiative, and client-service skills.
• Aptitude for leading and managing teams, with a collaborative and client-first approach.
• Candidates must possess or be able to obtain work authorization for Japan.
