Lab Operations Manager and Research Technician (Antibody Discovery)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; onsite with occasional remote work

Salary: $52,400–$57,200 per year

What you will do

• Manage consumable and reagent inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining key laboratory supplies.
• Set up, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Support laboratory policies, procedures, PPE compliance, deliveries, task completion, and operational organization.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and support notebook audits and reviews with the Lead Scientist, Head of Research, and other personnel.
• Execute phage and yeast display, biochemical, molecular biology, and cell biology workflows to discover and characterize antibody binders.
• Produce and functionally screen antibodies and CARs, analyze results, prepare reports, and present findings.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Practical experience in molecular, protein, or cell biology.
• Full-time research laboratory experience in an academic, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical setting.
• At least two years of availability to support the research technician and laboratory operations manager responsibilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, organization, multitasking, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Ability to maintain detailed electronic laboratory notebooks, follow standard procedures, build working relationships, and work with faculty and staff.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of bench work experience.
• Previous laboratory management experience.
