Maintenance Tech 1 (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and building systems.
• Assist with repairs to woodworking machinery, infeed and outfeed systems, hand tools, forklifts, and related equipment.
• Use diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications to support repair work.
• Order required supplies and parts and maintain repair and maintenance records.
• Follow safety procedures, keep the work area organized, and participate in safety and continuous-improvement programs.
• Handle hazardous waste and materials according to established procedures when assigned to the Treating Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience repairing machines in a maintenance role.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, as well as welding.
• Knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
