Focus on interpreting diagnostic tests, performing authorized procedures, maintaining clinical documentation, and supporting quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; 100% onsite; weekend-only part-time schedule

Salary: $126,100.00–$204,732.50 per year

What you will do

  • Manage inpatient care for adult hematologic, BMT, solid tumor oncology, and elective chemotherapy patients with supervising physicians and care teams.
  • Examine patients and obtain, compile, and document medical data, including admission, discharge, and daily progress notes.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and use results to support clinical decision-making.
  • Prescribe medications and therapies and perform procedures within DFCI privileges.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, consultants, social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, clinical education, and student precepting after completing training.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree and completion of an AAPA/NCCPA-accredited Physician Assistant Studies program.
  • NCCPA certification.
  • Massachusetts Physician Assistant license, current DEA license, and Massachusetts Controlled Substance License required.
  • Expert knowledge of general medicine; experience or exposure to hematology/oncology and inpatient medicine is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Completion of 100 hours of CME every two years in accordance with national and state regulations.
