Focus on coordinating acute and chronic patient care, interpreting diagnostic findings, responding to changing clinical situations, and supporting inpatient rounds and medical emergencies.

Pay range: $64.00–$80.00

What you will do
- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories, physical examinations, and review of patient records.
- Order and interpret laboratory, radiological, and other diagnostic studies appropriate to patient needs.
- Develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans under the direction of supervising physicians.
- Manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, perform clinical procedures, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment progress.
- Educate patients and families about treatment options, preventive care, health maintenance, and follow-up needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams, participate in rounds, support patient disposition, and respond to inpatient medical emergencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a Physician Assistant program.
- Physician Assistant licensure within the first three months following receipt of a complete medical staff membership and privileges application.
- Physician Assistant certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to assess patients across different age groups, coordinate complex care plans, and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Ability to lift and turn patients weighing 30–35 lbs and work while standing and walking for extended periods.

- State and federal controlled substances registration.
- Experience orienting or training new Physician Assistants and supporting team coordination.
