Data Quality Analyst (Finance)

Location: In office at 800 Prides Crossing, Newark, Delaware, US 19713

Starting base salary: $87,027–$138,965 per year; eligible for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Define and document data quality rules, requirements, and data lineage with reporting, business, and technology teams.
• Build Python applications and scripts for automated data collection, validation, and quality checks at scale.
• Write SQL and Python tests covering completeness, accuracy, conformity, precision, validity, uniqueness, and timeliness.
• Analyze Excel workbooks, SQL scripts, transformations, dependencies, and data lineage.
• Validate data quality rules against data governance requirements and identify issues for remediation.
• Design interactive Tableau dashboards and visualizations for complex data insights.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in data quality testing, Python development, SQL statement writing, and Tableau dashboard development.
• At least 5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems; a related master’s degree is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, ETL, data cleansing, data integration, data architecture, and data governance principles.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and collaborate with reporting, operations, technology, managers, and other stakeholders.
• Understanding of financial regulatory initiatives including Basel II, Basel III, Dodd-Frank, and CCAR.

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL tools and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with Informatica, Collibra, or IBM Analytics.
• Advanced Excel formulas and pivot tables, plus proficiency with MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, and Access.
