Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Management - Sponsor Finance

Salary: $129,995–$160,581 per year, with potential annual bonus/incentives and restricted stock.

What you will do

• Underwrite and analyze complex credit transactions for private-equity-backed software, SaaS, technology-enabled services, and recurring-revenue businesses.
• Evaluate leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, recapitalizations, growth capital, add-on acquisitions, and refinancing opportunities.
• Recommend debt structures, covenant packages, collateral arrangements, pricing, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Prepare credit approval memoranda and portfolio reviews for senior credit officers, the Loan Committee, and executive management.
• Coordinate transaction execution with relationship managers, credit officers, loan closers, treasury management, capital markets, and external legal counsel.
• Monitor borrower performance, covenant compliance, liquidity, leverage, risk ratings, emerging credit risks, and sponsor support.

Requirements

• 4+ years of related portfolio management or similar experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of commercial credit, loan structuring, pricing dynamics, and general banking operations.
• Knowledge of deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management, or other commercial banking products and services.
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory, legal, and industry compliance requirements.
• Credit analyst training and intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
