Credit Portfolio Manager (Finance)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Full-time role with travel to client locations as required; travel is expected to be minimal. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $67,500–$111,500 USD per year, plus a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.

What you will do

• Manage credit risk for a portfolio of commercial credit clients and monitor loan performance against quality guidelines.
• Support Relationship Managers with financial and credit analysis.
• Analyze financial statements, business risk, financial risk, and overall creditworthiness.
• Prepare written credit memoranda and present cases to the credit committee when required.
• Evaluate financial and nonfinancial covenants, monitor compliance, and review legal documentation.
• Conduct lender meetings and other client due diligence while providing ongoing credit-quality updates.

Requirements

• Knowledge of finance and accounting gained through formal education or professional experience.
• Analytical and communication skills for assessing credit risk and preparing credit presentations.
• Computer skills for preparing Excel financial spreadsheets and Word documents.
• 1–5 years of experience in credit or financial analysis of companies.
• U.S. work authorization without employment-based visa sponsorship is required.
