Manager - Financial Reporting

Location: In office at 555 South Flower Street, Los Angeles, California, US 90071

Salary: $99,000–$176,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or commissions.

What you will do

• Oversee timely, accurate, and complete preparation and filing of the bank’s external financial statements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including management, Board, and Audit Committee materials.
• Provide technical accounting leadership, evaluate new FASB and other accounting pronouncements, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure complex and non-routine transactions, new products, acquisitions, and dispositions are properly accounted for and documented.
• Coordinate with the parent company, independent accounting firm, regulatory reporting teams, and internal stakeholders during audits and regulatory examinations.
• Lead process improvement, automation, internal control, ERP, general ledger, data warehouse, and reporting system initiatives while managing and developing professional staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting or financial reporting experience and minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
• CPA certification required.
• Experience at a publicly held financial services institution and/or a Big 4 accounting firm.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, technical accounting, banking, GAAP principles, internal controls, and reporting systems.
• Strong presentation, communication, quantitative analysis, managerial, organizational, project management, and collaboration skills.
