Mechanical Pacakge Engineer (Oil & Gas)

hirify.global Careers is hiring for an engineering role supporting oil and gas projects in the Middle East.

What you will do

• Design and specify rotating equipment, specialty and utility equipment, material-handling equipment, and related packages.
• Prepare datasheets, technical specifications, requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for equipment and packages.
• Coordinate with vendors, evaluate technical proposals, review vendor documents, and verify compliance with project requirements and international codes.
• Perform compressor configuration, driver selection, life-cycle cost, and material-handling studies.
• Provide technical leadership for mechanical package scopes and coordinate integration with process, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines.
• Support HAZOP/HAZID, model reviews, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and closeout activities for brownfield and greenfield projects.

Requirements

• 12+ years of overall experience, including 6–7+ years in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience with rotating equipment packages, turbo machinery, cranes, hoists, and other material-handling equipment.
• Experience across FEED, concept development, detailed engineering, selection, procurement, installation, pre-commissioning, and mechanical completion.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, and ISO codes and standards, including API 610, 682, 612, 611, 616, 617, 618, 619, 673, 674, 675, and 676.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
• Relevant Middle East experience and the ability to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
