Mechanical Design Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; based in the UAE office

What you will do

• Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment layouts, specifications, and engineering documents for site execution.
• Provide technical design support to construction teams and resolve mechanical design issues.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, technical queries, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Procurement, Planning, and subcontractors.
• Support equipment installation, piping, supports, fabrication, testing, commissioning, MTOs, as-built drawings, inspections, and handover documentation.
• Monitor design revisions and ensure the latest approved drawings are available at site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant Oil & Gas or EPC experience.
• Strong site experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with ADNOC or UAE Oil & Gas projects is an advantage.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of ASME and API standards.
• Strong technical coordination, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
