Senior Discipline Engineer - Static (Oil & Gas)

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; based in the UAE office

What you will do

• Design and develop static equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, and reactors.
• Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and design calculations using applicable codes and standards.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documentation and ensure compliance with project, safety, quality, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project teams throughout concept, detailed design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct design reviews and address client and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

• BE degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of experience and strong technical competence in basic and detailed engineering for Oil & Gas projects.
• In-depth knowledge of international codes, standards, design guidelines, and recommendations, including ASME and API.
• Experience with relevant commercial software used in Oil & Gas projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English; experience in an international and multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, project management, safety, and quality skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with local and international environmental regulatory requirements and local environmental laws.
• Commercial awareness and a track record of taking initiative and meeting project schedules.
