TL;DR

Regional Project Development Manager for Turbo Compressors (Centrifugal Compressors): Developing technical and techno-commercial solutions for centrifugal compressor modernization and upgrade projects across Asia Pacific with an accent on rotating machinery, auxiliary systems, and customer proposals. Focus on qualifying upgrade opportunities, conducting site surveys, managing execution risks, and coordinating complex extended-scope quotations with regional teams and suppliers.

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

What you will do

Explore the Asia Pacific market, generate leads, qualify compressor modernization and upgrade opportunities, and support order acquisition.
Develop regional technical and commercial proposals for centrifugal compressor upgrade solutions in line with customer requirements and company policies.
Lead technical presentations and client communications, building relationships with technical decision-makers and influencers.
Coordinate with controls project development managers, client managers, service centers, internal departments, and major sub-suppliers on extended-scope solutions.
Prepare requests for quotation covering site execution, repairs, installation, commissioning, performance testing, and related services.
Conduct site surveys, including preparation, data collection, risk assessment, reporting, and execution sequencing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, with demonstrated expertise in rotating machinery and compressors.
At least 6 years of experience as a compressor field service or commissioning engineer, or in related work.
Strong understanding of driven and driver rotating equipment, thermodynamic principles, auxiliary systems, and control upgrade requirements.
Ability to translate upgrade requirements into technical solutions and communicate them clearly to clients and factories.
Ability to collaborate across international and organizational boundaries, manage people, work under pressure, and meet ambitious deadlines.
Willingness to travel as required and present technical solutions effectively through Microsoft Teams.
