Adjunct Instructor - Public Administration

What you will do

• Plan, prepare, and deliver public administration lectures, seminars, and other courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Develop syllabi, select instructional materials, and design exams, quizzes, papers, and other assessments.
• Assess student performance, provide timely feedback, and evaluate learning outcomes.
• Engage students through active learning, discussions, collaboration, critical thinking, and hands-on activities.
• Provide office hours, academic guidance, assignment feedback, and mentoring.
• Follow university policies, academic integrity standards, accreditation requirements, and Campus Security Authority responsibilities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Public Administration or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• At least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels and collaborate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.

Nice to have

• Doctorate or terminal degree in Public Administration or a closely related field.
• Previous online teaching experience at the collegiate level.

Culture & Benefits

• Temporary, part-time appointments are assigned per semester on an as-needed basis.
• Appointments support the 2025–2026 academic year and may include up to six semester credit hours.
• Teaching may be delivered in person, through approved instructional modalities, or online according to student demand.
