SDET Architect (AI/Fullstack): Designing and implementing automated quality frameworks and production features for customers with an accent on agentic development and AI-assisted workflows. Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid or Remote-first)

Salary: 160,000 – 180,000 CAD / year

What you will do

• Embed directly with customers to understand business workflows and deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
• Implement an agent-first methodology using Generative AI to create prompts for implementation and verification.
• Design and build comprehensive test frameworks across the stack, including unit, integration, contract, E2E, performance, and load testing.
• Develop production-grade features using multiple languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, .NET, and Java.
• Integrate AI tools like Claude Code, Kiro, and Cursor into development and testing workflows to evolve engineering practices.
• Mentor customer teams on shift-left testing, AI-assisted workflows, and modern architectural practices.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a Senior SDET, Test Architect, or Software Engineer delivering distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least two programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go, .NET, Java).
• Full-stack development skills: modern JS/TS frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte) and backend APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest/Vitest, pytest, or k6.
• Experience with agentic development and GenAI tools for code and test generation.
• Must be based in or able to work from Toronto, Ontario.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, SDET, or professional services consulting.
• Expertise in non-functional testing, including security, accessibility, and performance profiling.
• Experience transforming brownfield applications into modern, testable architectures.
• Experience migrating on-premise applications to the Cloud.
