Compliance Officer (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States

Annual base salary: $140,000–$180,000, plus variable year-end bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Conduct compliance testing by interpreting regulatory requirements, designing test plans, coordinating reviews, and documenting findings and recommendations.
• Perform investment adviser-related regulatory analysis for new business initiatives and policy changes.
• Monitor third-party service providers against contractual and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present compliance metrics and reports for senior stakeholders.
• Develop training programs that promote awareness of regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, operations, front office, and technology groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with a strong record of academic and professional achievement.
• Four to eight years of experience in compliance, audit, or a related legal or operational role.
• Analytical skills, comfort with numbers and data, and interest in using technical tools to streamline processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports for senior audiences.
• Strong judgment, discretion, initiative, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• Ability to manage large processes and coordinate cross-functional workstreams.
