Senior User Experience Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the United States, with work from home and on-site presence at clients or hirify.global offices in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Washington, Georgia, or Maryland. Client-facing travel is required as needed.

Salary: $120,000–$133,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead the design of AI-driven product workflows, including agentic task flows, adaptive dashboards, conversational interactions, and predictive insight delivery.
• Translate complex business, user, and analytics requirements into scalable interaction patterns and high-fidelity designs.
• Collaborate with clients to define the role of AI, clarify requirements, and align on experience direction.
• Conduct or support generative and evaluative research and convert findings into experience strategies.
• Use AI throughout research synthesis, ideation, prototyping, visual exploration, and design-to-code workflows.
• Guide junior designers, facilitate design sprints, and evolve project-level design systems with GenAI components.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred backgrounds include Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, design strategy, service design, or cognitive science.
• At least 5 years of experience designing complex digital products, preferably in analytics, enterprise systems, or AI-driven solutions.
• End-to-end product design experience, from ambiguous problem definition through launched solutions.
• Experience designing GenAI and AI-powered experiences, including chat UX, recommendations, decision support, and multi-step agentic flows.
• Strong consulting, communication, client engagement, mentoring, and design system governance skills.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship. A strong portfolio showing the complete design process is required.
